Who wrote the Bible?
Dozens of people, across more than a millennium, in three languages and on three continents.
Is the Bible reliable?
The text has come down to us better than any other ancient writing, and the historical details that can be checked hold up more often than not.
Why does God allow suffering?

What happens when we die?
The New Testament's main hope is not disembodied souls in the clouds but resurrection: bodies raised, creation renewed, God present with his people.
Is Jesus God?
Christians say yes: fully God and fully human, one person.
What is grace?
God's kindness given to people who have not earned it and cannot repay it.
How do I pray?
Talk to God in your own words, honestly, and keep it short at first.
What about other religions?
Christianity claims that Jesus is the decisive way God has made himself known and people are reconciled to him.
Did Jesus rise from the dead?
Christians say yes, bodily, and stake everything on it.
How do I know God is real?
You probably will not get proof.
What is sin?
Sin is the breaking of relationship with God and the damage that follows, in what we do, what we fail to do, and what we are.
Can I be forgiven?
Yes.
What is the gospel?
News, not advice.
How do I hear from God?
Mostly through Scripture, read regularly and in context.
Why are there so many denominations?
Because Christians who agree on the centre have disagreed about real questions: baptism, communion, church government, how God's sovereignty and human choice fit together.
