Privacy Policy

1. What this policy covers

This policy describes what Trinity collects when you use the website and the study app, what we do with it, and what you can ask us to do about it. It applies to everything under gettrinity.app and to the account you create when you start studying.

2. What we collect

Account details: your name, email address, and the password hash or single sign-on identifier you use to get in. If you subscribe, our payment processor holds your card details and we hold only the fact of the subscription and its status.

Study data: the passages you open, the study paths you start, the answers you give Trinity, and the questions you ask it. This is the material the tutor needs in order to pick up where you left off.

Technical data: device and browser type, approximate region derived from your IP address, and error logs. We use a small number of first-party cookies to keep you signed in and to remember interface preferences.

3. What we do with it

We use your data to run the product: to sign you in, to remember your place in a study path, to shape the next question the tutor asks you, and to bill you if you are on a paid plan.

We also use aggregated, de-identified patterns to understand which study paths people finish and where they get stuck, so we can fix the ones that are not working.

4. Your study questions

People ask a Bible tutor things they would not ask a person. We treat study content as sensitive. It is not sold, it is not used to target advertising, and it is not shared with churches, employers, or anyone else who might ask.

Where we use your study content to improve the product, we do so on de-identified data, and you can opt out of that use in your account settings without losing any feature.

5. Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers we need to operate: hosting, error monitoring, email delivery, payment processing, and the model providers that generate tutor responses. Each is bound by contract to use the data only to provide that service.

We will disclose data if the law requires it. If we are ever compelled to hand over an individual account's contents, we will tell you unless we are legally prevented from doing so.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your account and study history for as long as your account is open. If you delete your account, we delete the account record and your study history within thirty days, except where we must keep a billing record for tax purposes. Backups age out within ninety days.

7. Your choices

You can export your study history, correct your account details, or delete your account from within the app. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to certain processing or to ask for a copy of everything we hold. Write to us and we will answer.

8. Children

Trinity is built for adults and is not intended for anyone under sixteen. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, tell us and we will remove it.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that materially affects you, we will email you before the change takes effect. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
